Excellent article about the problems with modern media. Never thought of it this way where the media follows “influencers” just like kids follow them on TikTok. And the problem is that most influencers are style over substance.

We had four decades of smart people preaching a philosophy of "information is knowledge, knowledge is power, and power empowers people." Trump's fundamental advantage is that he understood that was bullshit, and he could maneuver into institutional voids.
